I have noticed that my dog's bowel movements or rather the consistency has changed in this hot weather. If anything would have expected slightly firmer stools due to slight dehydration at times if anything but her's are intermittently softer. She isn't ill, hasn't eaten anything she shouldn't, has no temperature and not had her food changed so just wondered if anyone else is experiencing this?

Same here too, mine have all had softer stools than normal.

All three of mine have really loose stools and have had had for about 4 days now...
Trip to the vet as a precaution, and after thorough examinations said it is the heat.... and to make sure they have plenty of water at all times...
They are really feeling it, poor babies... :-(

Thank goodness today is a bit cooler. Making sure they drink lots is very difficult when they won't. My dog is not a big drinker, have tried putting ice cubes in and splash of milk which helps but I'm sure she doesn't drink enough.

If you have a breed of dog that is subject to bloat - do NOT put ice cubes in drinking water.   According to someone on another forum, their dog bloated because he had drunk ice water (per the vet).

That is interesting....luckily we only tried the ice cubes once because it didn't encourage her to drink, it's only the splash of milk that works.

Mine have both been loose for a few days but both well.
They are back to normal today....i think its the hot weather up setting them.
One Golden is never enough.

Having had a good read around regarding this comment I understand that it is not the actual ice cubes that cause bloat it is the fact that some dogs prone to bloat who have  ice cubes put in their water when they are thirsty may drink larger than normal quantities of water which may then cause bloat.
