I feed my dogs raw and am planning on raising my first litter on raw, but not all my puppy owners want to feed raw so I am just wondering what people recommend as a good alternative. it is so long since I bought dog food I have no idea what are the best brands?

i would feed them raw aswell as complete, so that they will eat what the new owners want to feed, arden grange is good or royal canin
2 border terriers 1 parson russell
I would thought orijen is as close as you will get to raw from a complete i.e. no grain
thats not a brand ive heard of. do you know any stockists? Thanks very much

We feed raw too but also use Burns mini bites with our pups for the reasons you say regarding new owners. I think Burns is fairly harmless and doesn't have anything sprayed on afterwards. Also it soaks easily when the pups are very young.

An excellent alternative to raw is Nature Diet -meat, rice and veggies, not dry, high percentage of meat (60 % -compare to the normal 4 to 8 % in many canned foods), easy to feed and relatively easy to get hold of for anyone.

thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully my puppy owners who don't feed raw will be happy with these suggesions. I am planning to give all the pups different types of food to start with. Only 3 weeks to go now. I am getting really excited
Go to the Orijen website - they have a breeder scheme so you may be able to get puppy packs
I feed raw to my 12 week old with a little bit of Royal Canin
