Terrible news to report this morning, I have just received a phone call from Sylvia Pope to say that she was burguled again at approx 3 am this morning whilst alone in the house.
The theives have taken 2 in whelp maiden bitches, her foundation stud male and a young bitch. It would appear that the 'gentlemen' liked what they stole last time and came back for more, the police beleive it is possible that the dogs are being moved on within a pretty close radius of us in Shropshire.
Please keep an eye out for any new pommies in your areas let the vets know about this as it is possible in inexperienced hands the 2 bitches could need a c - section. Sylvia is very angry and devastated especially as these breedings were inn effort to keep her bloodlines going after the 2 pups stolen only a few mths ago, as she says they have stolen her lifes work and her children at a time when they need her most!
Any information you maybe get over the next few days will be most welcome and passed to the police for further investigation.
Please send my sympathies and best wishes to the poor lady. This has to be one of the worst things I've ever heard about concerning dog thefts.

I hope they find her dogs safe and sound quickly.
regards,
Sara
Oh Mandy that sounds awful!! please give my sympathies to Sylvia

Jacqui
That is awful, I cna't imagine how you freind feels. Fingers crossed she hears something.
I hope the thiefs at least noticed the bithces were in whelp as for when the time comes or do you think thta was the reason.
I always wonder who people find out these things is their a possible informer somewhere. I know that sounds " famous five" stuff but it is strange.
Best wishes sent her way..keep us posted.
Pam
It is believed that the thieves are 3 men who posed as potential buyers 3 days before her puppies were stolen a few mths back. This robbery was followed a few days later by an attempt on her mini horses in a field away from the house, the men had asked about the minis when they'd viewed the dogs before the theft.
This time they just broke the door down and snatched the first 4 cages they could get their hands on before anyone could get to the door I suppose. They won't have known what they had stolen until they had stopped to check later. One of the in whelp bitches is a rare colour too which is not accepted for showing in the UK and that is a 'beaver' which is cream with chocolate brown markings, fingers crossed as she is the only one in the country she will be easy to spot when she reaches her 'new home'!
They have stolen an orange dog 8 years old, 1 orange bitch in whelp 2 yrs old the beaver bitch in whelp also 2 years old and a 14mth orange bitch granddaughter to the dog. I will pass on your regards to Sylvia and we'd be most grateful if you would pass the information on to your local vets just in case they turn up after all like she says how many people do you know who sell a bitch in whelp?

That is awful, and the pregnant Rottie still is missing too. These dog thefts wseem too well orchestrated and knowlegeable recently to be put down to opportunist crime!!!
Why is it that the Authorities take so little interest in dog theft????

That poor lady and her dogs, please pass on my best wishes and good luck to her

Hi SCHIP
please pass on our concerns, the poor lady must be going out of her mind. Can I just say , it might not be a good idea to advertise the beaver coloured girl as being a one off, might be better to sit tight until the pups are ready for sale....the people who have her may not know about the colourings ..just a thought.
So very sorry

This is so heartbreaking. I do hope they are found. What part of the country are we talking about please so people can tell their vets etc. sorry if you said before.

Oh dear- please pass on my sympathies, best wishes and good luck. With all this lately you're starting to make me paranoid:( A GSD has been stolen from near us- 6mth old called Dylan- there was a note up in the vets- there's also still a reward out for the staffie that was taken a while back:( I truely feel for all the owners as needless to say really I would be heartbroke if anything like this happened to my bitch:(
Good luck to all the owners.

God help this poor lady she must be going out of her mind.I'd like to be one of the ones to mete out the punishment on the ones who have committed this dreadful crime.Where do people get off causing so much pain and heartbreak to others. My prayers and best wishes to Sylvia.Still no word of my greyhound
WE are in Shropshire and have notified our local vets who say they will pass it around other vets they work with on referrals etc.
The police have advised that we give out as much information as possible the same as last time in an effort to make the dogs 'too hot to handle' they hope then they will either be dumped or handed in somewhere.
Sylvia is in a very bad way this time we thought last time was bad enough as the pups were so young when stolen but maiden whelps is worse like she says I should be with my babies when they have their babies they need me! Our local newspaper is hoping the national press will take up the story once it has been printed here on friday, non of them were interested last time so fingers crossed.

i cried when i read this, i know in a way what she is going threw as i had some of my show dogs poisoned in the early hours of 1 morning (mum, daughter, and 3 young promising puppies, 5 in total ) although it is now almost 6 years ago i still cry for them and miss them deeply. the police were not interested lets hope they take note of your poor friends situation my thoughts are with her and i hope there is a happy ending and soon. i have now got 3 pomeranians myself and i must admit it scares me to read what has happened. is there any discriptions of the 3 men involved? accents? caucasion? etc maybe it would help the readers to find these bas****s and soon. please forward my sympathy to your friend and please try to keep us all updated with any progress lets hope there is some soon

Hi, this is an old thread posted in August, has anyone any news on whether the dogs were located???
Barbara and the Grey Curly Tails.
Hi Folks
She has visited so many non show known breeders in the last few mths it's untrue but to no avail I'm afraid no sign of any of these dogs.
The only description we have is that one had an Irish accent, two were very large ie well muscled and one had a very prominent birth mark from his forehead to his neck down one side of his face. The one with the birth mark used to be seen around town before this happend back in April but he has disappeared since.
There have been several more thefts within a 50 mile radius of us police believe it is the same gang and they are revisiting other breeders too taking bitches well into whelp 1 only a wk off being due. After a few reports the vehicle is changed according to the police, but word is out with the local Gypsy's and travellers so we are still hoping to at least trace the adult dogs.

I have spoken to Sylvia, who is devastated with the loss of both the maiden bitches, and the 8 year old stud dog.
Having a stud dog stolen from our kennels and a kitten stolen from our bungalow, we know how Sylvia is feeling.
I have passed on some of your comments from this "Board", and I think this has given Sylvia some comfort from the help that "Schip" has done for her.
Although circumstances can dictate how or where you show your puppies, we never take anybody into our whelping room or into the kennels, and we always make a point of bringing the puppies in from another room, so the visitors are not aware of where they are kept.
we have audible alarms both outside the bungalow and in the kennels, and we make a point of setting them off, to deter people creeping back at night.
