I dont post here much anymore but i do remember there being a rainbow bridge on here for our lost and loved dogs. Our precious, lively, loving Weimaraner Bruno died on the 16th July and to say we are devastated is an understatement. It was such a shock. He had been gipping the night before but wasnt being sick, we couldnt understand it. Then the morning after, he went out into the garden as normal, then i went upstairs to get changed for work, came back downstairs, looked for him in the garden and he was laid in the bushes He was dead and i could not believe it. I phoned the vets who suggested that he must have choked on a grass ball as he had been eating a lot of grass a few days before but i thought nothing of it as its quite usual for him. He was only 5 :'( We were due to go to Wales 2 days after and we were taking him with us too. We went to Wales and came back yesterday and now the reality has hit us again, its just not the same without him, its a huge loss. He always wanted to be in on everything we did and always wanted to be involved, always by your side, now that space is just empty, its all a bit unreal. We miss you so much Bruno, run free xxxxxxx

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.

I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me

It's good to have you back again,

was to watch and care for you.

the day's chores put to flight,

because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.

But do not be afraid to cry:
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there were some rain.

I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.

But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.

There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too;

If you can help somebody
who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night...

And now I am contented...
that my life was worthwhile.

That made me cry so much, im sat here in front of my 2 yr old trying to wipe my eyes lol. Thank you for that it is lovely xxx
