i am having to rehome one of my3yr old CKCS bitches due to fighting with her sister, a friend has agreed to take her in, she has 2 bitches already who are an 8 yr old westie and a 8 yr old labrador. the lab is very placid and loving and the westie is quite excitable, what are the chances of them all getting on and what is the best way to introduce the new dog into the home??? they are all spayed

I've had to do this once - and personally, I wouldn't rehome her into a family with other dogs - she's already going to be shaken/upset as things are, and I think she would be better off as a only dog.

Our Gypsy settled happily as an only dog five years ago with absolutely no problems - if she sees us, she even tries to get in the car - although she studiously "ignores" the other bitches that she had a problem with, ll those years ago!
Treat every stressful situation as a dog would. Pee on it and walk away

I too think she'd be better off being homed either as an only dog or to a household with a resident male.

I wouldn't do it. If it all goes wrong that'll be another change for her. It's a shame if you've found someone you know personally to have her, but truthfully, she'd probably be better off as an only dog somewhere.
