Just dithering about whether to do this really!

Any advice/experience/opinions welcome.

Thank you.

Have a look at Compass.  I am doing the Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management and this is the only recognised qualification to get on the list of the UK Register of Behaviourists.

Thank you for your replies.

I have looked at that course, staff, and it does look good.

One of the things I find most confusing is the number of professional bodies for behaviourists and trainers - makes it difficult to choose between courses.

Can I ask why you chose the one you did?

Thanks.

That's the problem in all fields.  They tend to start their own testing organisations to cover their own courses rather than an overall testing body for all with a level playing field.  It then also makes it difficult for those trying to find a suitably qualified professional too! :-)

The reason I chose Compass is because they are the only one that is actually recognised as a qualification by a professional body as such - I mean in terms if the UKRCB.  Have a look at this website if you haven't already.  www.ukrcb.org

Thanks again - I'm going to get in touch with Compass & see if my peculiar mish mash of experience and academic qualifications will be acceptable to them!
