Hi,
I'm fairly new to dog ownership and wondered if anyone else had encountered this.  I've been feeding my dog Royal Canin Mini Adult, buying it from an online supplier where I get good prices and service.  There seems to be a noticeable difference in the texture and aroma of the kibbles from bag to bag.  In one bag, the kibbles were very moist, almost sticky with a strong aroma my dog loved.  The next bag of kibble was drier and harder and without much aroma.  Fortunately, my dog still ate it!

Has anyone else experienced this?  Has it affected whether or not your dog continued to eat the food?

Hi I buy Royal Canin mini sensible for my 2 poodles and must admit I haven't noticed any difference whether it is because it is made especially for fussy dogs and has a stronger smell anyway and also possibly more oily to appeal to fussy dogs.

I use RC mini junior and mini adult.  Always smells lovely, and it is quite oily.  If it didn't smell, I would wonder if it was stale.  Had the bag been split?   Or could it have been out of date?

No, the bag wasn't split.  Do dog food bags have an expiry date on them?
