Just got back from honeymoon and while we were away my mum and dads dog, our beautiful family pet growing up had to be PTS. Before we left the signs of old age were obvious and she had become really weak on her back legs, they kept giving way and she was finding it more difficult to get up.
Throughout the morning of the dreaded day she was following my mum around, resting her head on her whenever she stopped - very out of character for her in recent months, in her older age she just wanted to be left alone. When she was let out in the garden she collapsed and when my mum tried to help her up Pudsey tried to bite her, presumably due to the pain she was in as she has never shown any aggression in all her years with us. It was obviously time for her to go so the vet was called and she was PTS very calmly and peacefully on her favourite rug in the house.
Run free gorgeous girl, you will be missed immensly but we are so pleased you are free from pain. Always in our hearts, RIP x
