Thankyou to Irene, Pamela and Eoghama for your hepful replies. Alas I have tried all these and next Tuesday I am visiting a Vet who practices in Homeopathy etc. I'll try anything at all . Any views on homeopathy?
Alec
Hi Alec,
My Vet couple (husband & wife team) use homeopathy along with conventional meds. She's certified for acupuncture and is the main homeopathy "prescriber". Have to say that each time she's given me something for Samma, it has worked wonderfully.

That's the only experience I have. Good luck with your poor puppy.

I am a big fan of homeopathy, I have used it for years on myself and my dogs for minor ailments and visit a homeopath first whenever I am ill. It is inexpensive, completely safe and will work alomgside conventional medicine. If you want iover the phone/web advice contact www.ainsworths.co.uk who will advise you and supply the remedies. No disrespect, but vets who have done a couple of short courses on homeopathy are not always sufficiently qualified to advise about treatment except for the simplest ailments - in my experience. Give it a go, you will not be dissappointed if you are advised by someone very experienced.
Hi Alec here is useful list of h/vets

Not an expert on it myself but one of my freinds dogs was so ill with alergies etc that it was nearing the PTS stage and she managed to get in contact with a good homepathy vet. The dog has came 360 degrees and is fight fit. She has to continue to watch and the first sing of flare up he is back.
Sorry can't tell you 100% what the treatment was but thought I would offer my support for Homepathy treatments.
Good luck.
Pam
