Just out of curiosity really I was wondering how many anaesthetics some peoples dogs have had and whether they get more nervous with each one?  My dog is 3 and has already had four and looking at the way his knee is going he is likely to need another one and I'm anxious about it already

My Chows have had multiple anaesthetics, 7 or 8 I think and it's always a worry.  I did ask one vet and he said the first was always the biggest worry as you don't know if they will have a reaction to it.  If they don't react the first time then it's not likely that they will next time. 

Just what I was told.
