H,
I.ve a toy breed and she.s carrying a large litter, shes due in three weeks . Shes has always been a fussy eater ,eating royal canine which she loves and chicken mostly however, I used to give her chicken liver regularly  but i.m worried in case its too rich for her blood. I would appreciate any advice please!

No reason not to give her Liver as at any other time in moderation.

Personally I have never dared to give dogs liver, other than in the form of liver cake as a few treats -how would I know what is excessive enough to cause vitamin A toxicity? Anyone know?

i dont know about dogs, but when i was pregnant with my son i was advised not to eat too much liver because the vitamin a content can cause babies to go blind or i could have been deaf, but deffinatley one of the two :-(
