Well we all seem to be on puppy watch just now. My girl is at Day 60 from her first mating but is very big compared to her first litter. This last week seems to go on forever.............

Are you really at Day 67 Lesleybuck or have I misread the posts ? I would be frantic by now. Pity none of our bitches have read the text books. Best of luck when the time eventually comes.

Can I ask that if you want to chat to each other about your litters that you use the PM system please ;-) I've kept this thread open in case the OP needed any more help but please can we not turn it into a general litter announcement thread please, thanks!

My bitch has a week to go but she has had a mucus discharge for weeks but this is quite normal and all of my girls get it and I use it as a sign of pregnancy.  I will start taking my girls temperature tomorrow and wait for the drop I have always used this as an indication of whelping.

Any joy yet? I'm not sure about dogs, but I know it's quite common for us humans to lose the mucous plug sometimes weeks before the birth! I guess if she is happy in herself, your vet is happy and you are not concerned, then all you can do is wait and get her checked again monday.
My girl started losing her mucous plug this morning (day 58) and the pups have become quieter and more subtle in movements, along with her seeming much more sleepy and relaxed today! I swear by the movement in her tummy over the previous week they have been auditioning for a new Alien movie. ;-) She's been so uncomfortable and whinging, it's nice to see her more restful! Hopefully puppies soon for everyone on watch duty.

Can't wait to hear the outcome on this litter, good luck for you and your girl!
