I am new to this and wonder if my poppy has skipped her season. Her last one was in early Feb so if I am right she should of come onto season at the beginning of Aug. Now we are at the end of the month I have still not noticed anything is this normal.
Grateful for any help.

6 months between seasons is only an average of bitches as a whole; some will have a 5-month cycle, others an 8-month cycle, some an 11-month cycle; in fact anything between 5 and 10 months can be considered normal with longer or shorter durations being more unusual. How many seasons has she had before and what was the duration between them? If she's only had one season you'll need to wait till she's had three or four before you know what's normal for her.

One of my bitches has just come into season and her last one was early Feb. That means she has gone 6 1/2 months, however, her previous season was 7 months and she has also had a season that was after only 5 months. Most bitches don't come into season on the dot. So Poppy could come in any time now or even next month some time. I also had a bitch that could go 14 months between seasons and once went 22 months. There is no hard and fast rule.
The reason a dog has so many friends is that he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
