Does anyone have any solution a problem I have.

My Poppy has startd itching she dont have any fleas as she is upto date with her treatment. Now she has itched so much near her tail on the spine is all red and looks really sore.
I have had her to the vets before regarding a similar problem they advised that she was allergic to flea bites and perscribed antihistamines and was told to change her flea treatment from frontline to another which also treats several problems like worms etc. It costs more but was happy to pay the extra as frontline was obv wasnt working for her.

Now she is itching again I still have some of the antihistamines left over as the vet prerscribed more than needed and said if she starts itching give her them but they dont seem to be working.

Does anyone have any ideas.

Maybe taking a more natural gentle approach would help, try using something like neem shampoo from www.neemgenie.co.uk which is a brilliant shampoo for dogs, helps the skin to heal and is a mite and flea preventative.  You might also think about adding garlic to her food and thinking about her diet, is she on pet food or do you feed a natural, raw diet?

If you don't want to change diet then the neem shampoo and also colloidal silver on the skin will help, you can google colloidal silver for suppliers, but it is an amazing product.

I would definitley steer away from all the chemical treatments and yearly boosters/vaccinations.

My friend said to try tea tree do you think this would help.

As thats a natural approach

Garlic would any sort of garlic do or would i need to buy a particular brand which is suitable for animals

Thanks Suzanne

Although tea tree is very good, I would be inclined to use either the neem products or the colloidal silver (I know these work) for the problem your dog has, they are both natural and effective so they don't cover the problem, they treat it.  I think tea tree is a preventative measure and can be qute astringent (I might be wrong) so I cannot say whether tea tree would work or not but I know the neem products do as does colloidal silver, I get my collidal silver from:   http://www.ag4all.co.uk/

Both the above suppliers send the goods by return so as soon as they receive their order it only takes 2 working days to receive the goods.
