Sadly a friend of mine had to have his boy westie PTS this morning, he had two westies, father and son, sadly the son was the one PTS, and the father is so missing him, howling etc:

I have the details of the WHWT club which I will pass onto him, but if anyone knows of a RESPONSIBLE breeder in the South could they please PM me as soon as possible.
This guy takes his dogs everywhere with him, they go for long walks and are very much loved and he is devoted to his dogs.
Thanks for any help :-) :-)
Loving you Mika, my BMD boy 12/04/99 - 17/05/07 xx
Will never forget you my darling boy xx

Thank you will do westcoast :-)
I have just telephoned the WHWT club of England, details I got from CD, and the lady is no longer the secretary! and did not know of any health checks that breeder do before breeding?? Is there any health checks for this breed?

We do not have any specific health checks for westies, thankfully they are usually very healthy, they do have a reputation for skin problems, but I can honestly say that in my 45 years of breeding and owning them I have never had a problem. As the breed is so popular now, they are turning up at Battersea and other rescue centres,so worth a try.
