I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times before but anyway...
I going to put my Labs on this, as a preventative, what sort of dosage should they be on, and can you recommend a product (ideally not from the vets).
They weigh 28-30kg and are 5 and 6 years old. They have no problems at all with lameness at the moment, although my boy does have clicky joints sometimes.
Thanks

I give my two oldest dogs a product called Glucosamine/Chondroiting/MSM Complex from Hollan and Barrat. It is a liquid for humans, £10 a bottle (but often available half price), and it lasts our 60kg pyrenees and 20kg lurcher a good month. I have noted quite a difference in both dogs, but particularly in my lurcher who seems a lot more active again now.
Liquid would be a good idea as they tend to eat around any tablets I've tried in the past. I know I should crush them really but it's a fiddle.
Do they mind the taste?

our dogue(who is way heavier than your labs) is on dorwest glucosamine & chondroitin and he seems to be fine on 2 tablets a day crushed in his food, and stays limp free.hope this helps, roy.
champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends..
clio1, no, they don't mind the taste. It tastes very nice (being made for humans) of fruit juice.
