Hi I am posting this on behalf of a friend who is looking for a dog. She is looking for a small dog, no bigger than a bichon frise size. It has to be an older dog, at least 2 years old. Grooming requirements are unimportant as I am a dog groomer and will be round there all the time! Hehe! The dog should ideally get on with other dogs and be pretty much house trained! A lot to ask but if you know of anyone in the South East Essex area looking to rehome a dog that fits this description my friend can offer this dog a kind, loving home!

What about contacting  south east essex trust?

Try show breeders of smaller dogs, who may have kept one on for a while and decided that they are not suitable to be shown or bred from as maybe to small.

Or you could try the different breed rescues?

I do know of someone trying to rehome a lhasa apso - 2 years old, male. They were asking a price for him tho, but not a huge one. I'm not sure if it's still an issue but I know the dog did have some food guarding issues so don't know how suitable he would be with other dogs or children etc. Also they are local to me in Gloucestershire.
