Someone has bought a puppy with breeders endorsements on registration at time of purchase, which they signed well
aware of the endorsements at the time. They now want to complain to K.C and try to get them lifted.Do the kennel club write to
breeder to let them know if they  did decide  to remove  endorsements, or would they go ahead anyway without
informing the breeder of their decision.

They need written permission from the breeder before the KC will remove any endorsements.

Have the owners asked the breeder if he/she will lift the endorsements?

Yes , Breeder will not lift as they haven't met her requirements.

I doubt if the KC would lift them if there's evidence that the purchaser was aware of the conditions when buying the puppy, and that the conditions are reasonable. That's what endorsements are all about, after all.

If I were the breeder, I would be writing to the Kennel Club, setting out the contract that had been signed between the buyer and breeder, the requirements that would need to be in place before the breeder would lift any endorsements and ask the KC NOT to lift the endorsements - especially if the requirements relate to health testing.   Hopefully, the breeder and buyer will have signed such a contract.

Right I just spoke to breeder again and she says this all happened about 3 weeks ago.She actually played me the last message
that was on her answering machine from the man , it was actually quite shocking. She  had put her answerphone on as he was so abusive she refused to answer phone any more.As this all happened 3 weeks ago she thinks that maybe they didn't bother to complain to K.C as she has not heard anything more from them or the K.C., but just wonderd if the K.C would do anything without informing her first or whether they would just lift endorsements without her knowledge.

I would be very dissapointed with the KC if they lifted the endorsments without my consent , I would contact the KC to let them know I do not wish to have them lifted in case the said puppy owners try to work a fast one pretending to to be the breeder ..although it does have to be in writing .

I had similar problems with a couple that had a pup from me, they signed my contract knowing restrictions wouldn't be lifted due to there being a pup in the litter with CP.

6 months on they decided they wanted to breed from her later, phoned the KC and denied knowing about the restrictions, KC contacted me and asked if I had copies of the contract, which I did, once they received them they contacted the owners and told them I had done things correctly, they knew the reasons why the restrictions wouldn't be lifted so said on this occasion they agreed with the breeder (me) and the restrictions would stay in place.

Thats what I thought Sharon, surely they must let the breeder know, but I didn't want to say that to her because I wasn't 100% sure.Yes she does have a copy of what they signed saying endorsements are in place and that the dog wasn't sold to them for breeding purposes.Hopefully as she hasn't heard anything after 3 weeks it will be ok.They were probably trying it on but realised they haven#t got a leg to stand on. I have told her to let me know if she does here anything, I will update if anything  else does happen.I asked her why they hadn't done this earlier when they first bought the pup, she tells me they only decided to change the k.c reg into their name 4 weeks ago, 2 years after they bought her as a pup at 8 weeks old.

A friend is the breeder of the bitch in a similar situation, again the person who owns the bitch bred from the underage bitch (supposedly an accident) to a male with no health tests and the bitch was not health tested, though plenty old enough to have been.

The dog could have been health tested and the bitch had DNA and eye test whilst pregnant.

The person who has bred the litter has registered the litter with a commercial registry because my friend wouldn't lift the Kennel Club endorsements until the tests had been done.

The person with the litter can register them up to a year of age at the normal rate with KC so can do the health tests or fulfil other requirements.

I got involved having bred some of the grandparents of the bitch and got a lot of abuse from the puppy producer for expecting them to do things properly.

I am bitterly disappointed that this bitch and her bloodlines have been exploited like this, but glad that the endorsements were in place.

That isn't unusual, about half the pups I have bred are still in my name.

or because the bitch is now 2 years old and old enough to breed from?
