When people come to view your pups that something is not quite right?, if so what do you do?

This never happened with my first litter but today we have had our first viwers and I just did not get that vibe from them, Mum was brill very calm etc but I don,t know it did not feel right.

Go with your gut instincts, they are usually right

Know exactly what you mean, do not sell to anybody you are 100% comfortable with.

The only time I did that was a little bizarre to say the least. The woman sat there talking at me rather than to me, and I was not with it, as the more she talked the more the idea came into my head that if my ex husband was ever going to cheat and run off with somebody it would be her because she reminded me so much of his mother. Anyway she was fairly local and so came to our dog club with the puppy, and all seemed well until....... guess what?! She and my ex ran off together! lol It is so funny, I was so relieved to finally get rid of him. I saw him recently and he looks like the Penguin out of the Batman movie.... Even she didn't keep him, but I was able to help a friend to steer her husband and this woman apart as she was using the same tactics on him.

OMG Polly, same happened to me!!! Woman from USA came over for a puppy. Made her up to USA Champion so she wanted another pup, came over to collect again. We became friends and she stayed with us. Then my ex-hubby and my 2 boys went to stay with her and her hubby and kids in North Carolina - i was meant to go but had a litter so stayed home with my daugter. Anyway we moved to Spain and she came over to visit and bring us a pup out of the champin bitch - which was nice. I was working in my own business in spain so was doing long hours - turns out she was having a fling with my ex - in front of kids too!!!!!! frolicing in the pool - MY POOL lol. Well she was dropped off at airport with no flight - 3 days early!!! Oh and in her hand luggage was all the olive oil she had bought..... all smashed up and the bag dripping as i watched her walk through Valencia airport  - she was lucky cause me and my mate were gonna dump her in the mountains and leave her!!!! ha ha - cheeky madam. Told her hubby but he was alot more forgiving than me hence my EX husband lmao x

Then it is not you being overly protective, we all have the ability to suss people out, we're all pretty good at it, particularly face to face and especially when anything maternal, so if you have something niggling in the back of your head, listen to it, ask yourself what it is that is worrying you and confront it, if by asking needed questions it does not still sit well, steer clear and don't worry about it, sometimes we can't put into words what is wrong but we should always listen to ourselves.

What if they paid a deposit then when they came to choose you wernt happy with them. They have no signed contract, only and email saying that you will reserve the puppy for them. Do they have any legal rights to the puppies??

I've never had this. I make people call me 3 or 4 times before I even let them have my address. Chatting to someone over 3 -4 phone calls usually gives you a good idea of what they are like. When I've had a bad feeling about someone I've just not given my address out. I've never been in a situation where I have felt uncomfortable about someone once they are in my housing viewing pups.... I must be lucky.

Up until recently I would have agreed with that but last year I had this lovely couple, who appeared perfect after long conversations, come for their visit prior to picking up their pup.
They brought their grown up son with them....... yukkkk...I took an instant dislike to him and when they told me his marriage had just broken up and was returning to mum and dads..that was it. I called it off immediately.
I did feel sorry for the older couple but I wasn't having my pup living with that 'person' who's comments about dogs and dog owners were most offensive.
Poor parents!!
