I thought I'd share some good news.  :-)

A little while ago I started to have problems with my old dogwalker.  I kept coming in to find the dogwalkers bill with '£40 outstanding' added to it. I couldn't understand what he was talking about as I didn't owe him any money - just left the cash out for him as normal. He said that no it was £40 short. Well I couldn't prove that he didn't take it (although I could prove that I took it out the night before!!) so I had to bite that but I did say that in future he would have to sign for the money and provide a receipt as I couldn't afford to pay him extra each month (I already paid him £240 every four weeks!). He suggested I pay him by cheque, which I can't do as I don't use cheques with my account. I offered to pay him by standing order or bank transfer each month and he sneered at me and said that he would never ever give me out his bank details. (god knows why he wouldn't want a regular money order into his bank).

Anyway he eventually sent me an email saying that as I want him to sign for payment the trust is gone.  He says that means I implied that he stole the money.   I had been talking about not using him anymore lately as when my ex is asleep and dogwalker doesn't know he's there he can hear him shouting at them but I was put off by the fact that one of my dogs isn't very friendly.

I was really worried as one of my dogs is fear aggressive and its not just anyone who could come to my house and walk them.  I found this guy advertised on gumtree, who was just starting a dogwalking business, so I took a few days off to introduce them and my god, the difference in my dogs is amazing!!  This new guy really loves them, you can tell its not just a business, and he's been training them and everything!  I'm also wondering just how far the old dogwalker walked them as they are knackered now and both losing weight.  I was in from work yesterday and he didn't know, and I walked in on all of them having a bit of a group hug.  And the best news is, he is £140 for four weeks rather than the £240 i was paying!

I'm so thrilled that something is going right for once.  My ex boyfriend is leaving the flat by the middle of this month and knowing there is someone there who can walk them, that i can afford, when i am at work is such a weight off my shoulders.  :-)  I don't even know why i'm writing this, just my normal dogless friends can't see what the fuss is about!

That is good news!   Glad that things are beginning to sort out for you again :-)
Treat every stressful situation as a dog would. Pee on it and walk away

Well done you - that must be such a relief.  At least here you can be guaranteed an audience that understands :-)

Dont worry no one will ever understand your needs and priorities for your dogs better than us.

Great that it's working out for you.

I really don,t think non dog people fully understand what dog ownership entails or what traumas we go through in our own minds just to ensure oiur dogs are safe and well cared for and not getting into any trouble.
Just today when I said I was having  a weekend away one of my workmatres said "which kennel are you sending it too*
My girl is not an IT I consider her my best mate and the kennels she goes too have been very carefully chosen because she could not just be left with anyone as much as I love her she needs someone very capeable to care for her.
I,m so glad you,ve found a new walker it must be a big relief for you.
Sharon.

I can feel your smile from here! :-D

Wow, what a difference, the other one sounds well dodgy, well rid!!!!

I think you have come up trumps there (as my mother would say) brilliant, nice to hear some fab news for a change. I think you are going to be the best advertisement for this guy and well deserved too, how lovely to see the group hug.

Lovely outcome to share. :-)
