So much for the KC and there interest in dog welfare!!
Yesterday a dog I bred was handed in a batersea found roaming after he escaped from home.
sadly the new owner had not updated their address with petlog but as I always put my number down as the emergency contact they rang me.
I didnt have the owners new address or telephone number only their old one but I had there name /dogs name pet and KC plus KC number so I decided to ring the KC as I knew the owner had updated address details with them
Well the KC's response was suprising
NO way would they give me a number (i expected this due to data protection) so I asked if someone from the KC would be good enough to ring them and tell them to call me or battersea, well a Flat NO SORRY NOT THEIR PROBLEM.
The outcome was goofd I managed to get  there detwails from 192.com and contact them and dog and owners are now reunited
I am just suprised the KC wouldnt do more to help very sad in my view.

Thats ridiculous! What the point of the KC holding all that information if they won't use it?

WHY do people not change their Petlog details immediately they move?  That's the time their dog (or cat) is most vulnerable.  It happens so often over here, but it was the very first thing I did when I arrived in Spain with my gang of five.

That's disgusting, I thought the KC were getting better in the last few years, but this shows that just getting the money from us is all they care about and not the dogs!

I totally agree.  It seems they are quite happy to 'rake in' the money but not give in return!  I don't know any other 'business' that would get away with this.
