Yesterday morning before work I could smell the most awful smell  in the house couldn't trace it and settled for spraying with febreeze .
Came home to find the rest of the family complaining that all day they could smell this awful smell, like rotting cabbages. It was certainly still tnhere and seemed to be everywhere I went.
I spent ages looking for the source deciding first that the cat had a decomposing mouse somewhere and then finally deciding it was a problem with the drain/toilet. Rang the insurance company to  check my cover and get someone in to deal with proably a blocked drain.
A slight comment from my son remined me that my gsd had stolen the defrosting chicken carcasses (3 ) the night before ok they where his but not in one go ! and a suggestion that maybe he had wind LOl
Guess what this morning the smell has gone and the source , my naughty dog who had the most tremendous wind you every smelt !!
Thank goodness I didn't actually get through to the insurance company would I have looked stupid

lol this often happens in our house, trying to find the source of a violent smell! And yes it is ever the OH or the dogs!
