Well I have been treating his 2 hot spots for about one week. They are drying up & healing nicely. BUT, the one on his neck is itching him now and I have been trying to keep him from doing so. His nails tear the skin and cause him to bleed a little bit. making the healing process much worse. I have a sock on his hind foot to minimize the effect. But its still itchy. Is there anything that could help relieve the itchyness? He also gets antihistamines in the am...

Hi Misswager, my Cavalier had a hot spot just above her tail where she had been nibbling (it was due to her anal glands so problem is now solved) but I bought some 'Itch Stop Wipes' from Pets at Home that seemed to do the job! Apparently they soothe and cool the area - might be worth a try for your boy.

They weren't too expensive....they have a cartoony dog on the front of the carton :-)
