Has anyone any experience of managing this condition? Particularly what medications you found that helped?

In reality I think it depends upon the severity.  I had a pup many years ago who sadly passed away at 12 weeks.  He fought so hard in his short life, but I have heard others that have been able to lead fairly normal lives.
My dogs aren't my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without them. 05/01/08 11 stone 12 lbs

I had a toy breed diagnosed with this, firstly treated for kennel cough, who wasn't diagnosed until 4 years old.  We never knew about this condition - and it explained how she never played with toys, and always ate and drank like a pig, from the day we got her as a puppy - but was a lady, who we loved to bits, and took us a long time to get over her loss.
