I have loads of firm orange tomatos on my outdoor plants.  Any tips on how to ripen them or a recipe to make something with them if theres no hope

If you put them on your kitchen window sill with a ripe tomato, then they will ripen in their own time.

Or you can always make tomato chutney? :-)

You could try putting them in a bowl with a ripe banana.

If you bring in the complete plant, hang it upside down in an unheated place (shed maybe) the tomatoes will ripen naturally.  Otherwise, put them in a brown paper bag and store them somewhere coolish.
Treat every stressful situation as a dog would. Pee on it and walk away

Orange and green tomatoes can be wrapped in newspaper and put in a dark drawer and will ripen gradually.

Obviously you need to check every few days.
