I've just rushed to enter LKA and didn't notice anything about car park fee's. I'm taking 2 dogs and paid a fee for my friend to come with me, which i guess is right?
But now worried about car park fee which as i was in a rush didn't notice.. I do hope its free parking then?

LKA is at the NEC who levy a parking charge, you can pay on way out, but if you have a Blue badge parking is free.

IT says on the entry form that car parking cannot be prepaid, but is "levied by the NEC".  Just done my online entries this morning, and found that it is not possible to enter a dog in it's classes for the day it is to be shown, then NFC on the other day - essential as we have 1 to show on each day.  Ended up having to do the NFC by phone, which meant an additional £5 per dog, on top of the NFC of £14, they also added an extra £1 each dog for "after closing", even though  I had already paid it for the breed class, plus of course the £1 online fee! The fees seem to just keep adding up for the conveniene of using the online system.

I would have had a fit Gwen :-)

I have decided not to go this year. I do like the show but it is such a rush for Xmas, and it is 2 days travelling for me. I always seem to get the cold at LKA or Crufts.. hard work at times doing all on our own ..

Tomorrow is my last show till possible March :-)  I could do with the rest.   Want my new kitchen fitted for Xmas so the time off from constant trimming with be bliss.  I was at it ( I mean trimming) till after 2am last night and 1am the night before.

I have been debating whether to do this show, ive had a frustrating year with regards to showing (with the exception of the boy getting his stud book number!!) so today im hmming and ahhing about whether to go because I do like the show but it is on the same day as my works xmas do and didnt want to be rushing about - by the time I had decided to enter "just in case" it was gone midday so too late anyway - fate :-)
finally got my 5th silver 7 ..... 2 and a half stone off, only 8lbs to goal ... bring it on !

Well I did it via the postal system, tried phoning the sec. to see if it arrived and the phone just kept ringing with no answering machine.  Then e-mailed Higham's or whoever's doing it yesterday, they replied asking for more details but then didn't reply to confirm whether my entry was rec'd.  So I haven't a clue now as to whether my entry got there or not and it's to late to do any online entry.
My dogs aren't my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without them. 05/01/08 11 stone 12 lbs

i missed the on-line entry by 20 mins as i was chatting on the phone, when i got off it was 11.50am and i couldnt remember my passwords etc, was hanging about waiting for the e mail to confirm them and it was too late by then.
Phoned higham press and got a very un-helpfull lady who said the phones are going mad so ring back after 1.30pm and hung up on me!!
Was i cross ( with her and myself ). After calming down i rang back 5 mins later and got a really nice lady who took my entry over the phone.
She said it happens everytime after the cut off (which is now mid-day) and she expected to be busy until the end of the day.
So if you ever miss an entry it's always worth phoneing to see if they'll take it over the phone.
respect those whos views differ from your own
