you have to be kidding right ? you mean the dog may be pregenant ? i cant belive anyone would do this, but then who knows what the curcumstances are id have to be on my death bed to do that to my girl and even then id probley have one of my close friends or my cousin take her on,
By Olive1 (**) [gb] Date 28.10.09 06:18 GMT
Ive seen that advert as well. Hideous. As are many of the other adverts for pugs on there. So far Ive seen "tea cup" pug pups, people who continuously advertise pugxbostons (at least 5 times a year), pugx chinese crested and numerous rubbish excuses as to why they are selling their dog.
Ive personally sent the site an email of complaint as IMO they are supporting BYBs and puppy farmers.

i cant bare seeing those sort of ads it makes my blood boil. cold calous people.

i see an ad yesterday for a ddb puppy, blind in one eye, they clearly stated they would 'swap for a laptop'!!!! i couldnt believe my eyes.

i agree the sites are too blame, ads should be scanned and anything like that should not be allowed on the site
Bella & Abbey....my beautiful girls, i miss u both so much everyday

A few months ago I saw an advert for a Bulldog bitch who was due to whelp in 2 weeks for sale.

Can you imagine how stressful that would be for the poor thing? Whelping is stressful enough for them anyway only to be sent somewhere strange with strange people... It really breaks my heart.
By jeanniedean (****) [gb] Date 28.10.09 09:33 GMT
This is awful. Ive never heard of this before. Wonders what they do with the bitch after the puppies are sold. Poor mummy just been used as a breeding machine.

There was a litter of Papillons offered for sale recently and "open to offers".  Hate it when they are advertised KC reg with no restrictions, sire of however many pedigree and x breed pups, self whelpers or as you have seen in pup.
By wendy (***) [gb] Date 28.10.09 11:44 GMT
I despair for that poor girl.  How can anyone stoop so low, they really aren't fit to have any animals.

I have seen this with a litter of DDBs recently - Price was "Negotiable". :-(

I can't believe any sap would fork out that much money for a pregnant bitch to be honest, the move may cause her pup's to die anyway so no guarantee of making money from this poor pug's off spring if that was the sellers idea? they are going to be very disappointed I hope... but then again what about the poor dogs life with these people trying to sell her in that situation! My next door neighbour got her dog pregnant and sent her off to her mothers place who was a byb and she had 7 pups who all died after 4 days.
I do hope they are just trying to sell her because they know they would not cope with the mum & pups when they come about but I suppose they would of gone to some pug rescue not tried selling her !

A client of ours bought a bulldog in pup. Another also bought a cat at a cat show that had been mated and then went nuts at us because the cat looked like she might be losing the kittens once she had got it home and we said that its likely to be the stress of re homing and there is little we can do if it happens. The cat was just a money making machine, all she complained about was how much it cost to look after. Very sad.
By JeanSW (****) [gb] Date 28.10.09 16:26 GMT
That is so very sad.  :-(

When I think about how much my girls trust me, even leaning against me when in labour.  The comfort we give them, and the pleasure they give us is one of lifes treasures.

That poor, poor bitch will be so confused, it breaks my heart.
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!

Poor thing, that would be soo stressfull having to givebirth in a strange place with strange people around.
I saw an add for a female Akita (i think it was Akitas) with 3 week old pups and the farther for sale once. Apperantly the owner was devocing.
By Harley (*****) [gb] Date 28.10.09 17:28 GMT

I can :-( People who know anything about dogs would know that the situation is deplorable and not one to get involved with but others who wish to make money just need to see the prices that some dogs are advertised for and will think it is an ideal way to increase their income. They will assume that having puppies is a natural thing to do and will have no idea of the complexities involved, the trauma that poor dog will be going through by being rehomed whilst in whelp nor have a clue as to how to oversee the whelping, know what to do in an emergency let alone have the slightest clue as to how to raise a litter in the best way. After all BYB's do that all the time and seem to get away with it on most occasions and the current owner is obviously not clued up or knowledgeable in any shape or form otherwise the poor girl would not be in that situation :-(
By magica (***) [gb] Date 28.10.09 18:47 GMT
The more I think about this poor girl the more I would want to get her and give her a loving home for life & help her through this ordeal...but with me having 3 large dogs living here would cause her so much stress that it would cause her to panic so sad wish i could help.

We can talk till we're blue in the face about how sickening we find this sort of thing, we can wish for a better life for the dog concerned and pray for her and the pups, but as long as there's money in dogs and ignorant people then this sort of sick stuff will continue.

If there's a buck to made then some b*****d will make it :-(

Some people do make me see red!!!!A young woman had a young Alaskan Malamute bitch, approx 12 months old.Bought from a puppy farmer.Very small girl. She also had a young boxer pup who she brought to ring craft(she only went once)aged 6 weeks, with raging diahorreah!!!!!!!!She then bought a young Sibe from the free ads(originally from a good breeder who I tried to put in contact with). She couldn't cope with the sibe who ended up with the local dog warden before being rehomed again.Got fed up with the Mal who is believed to be in welp and swapped it for a cane corso puppy.
1 Mal is never enough

i cant belive i read to the bottom of this page.i dont ever read the newspaper or watch the news on tele because i dont like to hear about the little children that have been harmed/killed ect.all the murders rapes ect all the news is bad and makes  me sick to my stomach and this is just as bad in my eyes.its churned my stomach.the poor girl has got enough on her plate without the worry of having to put all her trust in someone new and whelp somewhere strange,
i worry that she'll be SOLD to someone who thinks they can make a bit of money, and then what happens to her?
what if they get bored of the puppies when theyre just starting to walk around what if they get fed up with spending extra on the bitches foods she needs OR WORSE what if she dont get all the nutrients she needs :-0
i know this is a vicious(sorry cant spell it)circle but i pray someone who is loving and caring who just feels sorry for her will adopt her and give her the very best they can from now onwards
it makes me sick, you help one doggie but your not helping the whole sitiuation are you?we're certainly not making it any worse because this will ALWAYS happen no matter what.i just feel gut wrenched that i cant help.

just seen another one :-(
makes me so angry.  photo the dog is standing in some yard in front of not very clean looking kennel with uncleaned up turd beside her. (and no I don't mean her current owner)

PREGNANT DALMATION FOR SALE PUPPIES WILL ALSO BE 100% DALMATION SIRE CAN BE SEEN IN THE SAME PICTURE AS THE DAM THIS WILL BE HER FIRST LITTER EXPECTING BETWEEN 4-6 PUPPIES (QUOTED BY VET AFTER SCAN) SHE IS STILL YOUNG 1 YEARS OF AGE GREAT WITH KIDS AND OTHER DOGS SHE IS HOUSE TRAINED BUT CAN BE KEPT OUTSIDE I WOULD PREFER YOU KEPT HER INSIDE DUE TO HER CURRENT PREGNANCY. THE REASON WE CAN'T KEEP HER IS MY GIRLFRIEND IS ABOUT TO HAVE OUR BABY AND THEREFORE I WILL NOT HAVE ANYTIME TO BE LOOKING AFTER PUPPIES AND IT WON'T LOOK GOOD WHEN THE MIDWIFE VISITS WITH PUPPIES EVERYWHERE ITS A RELUCTANT SALE BUT DUE TO CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES SHE CAN NOT BE PROPERLY LOOKED AFTER ALONG WITH THE PUPPIES WE HAVE HAD HER FROM A PUP AND SHE WILL BE MISSED. SHE WILL BE A GREAT FAMILY PET AND ALSO AN INVESTMENT WITH THE PUPPIES SHE IS CARRYING YOU WILL EASILY MAKE YOUR MONEY BACK ON THEM IN NO TIME. DO NOT HESITATE TO EMAIL OR PHONE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS I WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER THEM. PLZ DO NOT CONTACT ME WITH ANY STUPID OFFERS YOU WILL BE WASTING BOTH MINE AND YOURS TIME. THNX

Terrible. :-( Far too young to be bred from and now the trauma of being rehomed on top. Poor little bitch. :-(

I just hope that someone with experience of breeding and rearing puppies reads the add and takes on this poor dog.
It really surprises me that the ad sites allow adverts like this to be put up. Saying that what would happen to this dog if they didn't. Having only ever had one litter myself (doubt i would ever have another) it astounds me how blazay people are about breeding from thier pets, and see them as money makers.
By Polly (****) [gb] Date 04.11.09 17:26 GMT
What a shame this was not highlighted in a certain TV programme! Poor dogs. While APGAW has suggested restrictions on pedigree breeders there was not much said about retails sales through pet shops nor did it say anything much about BYBs and puppy farmers. But Hey certain people will be happy and certain charities.

Can Dalmation rescue by alerted to this ? maybe they could help the poor bitch

Stupid man ( couldn't put what I really thought ) does he not realise how long a human pregancy is and then I presume mates his bitch when his girlfriend is due
By MarianneB (*****) [gb] Date 07.11.09 11:07 GMT

If this was at a GCCF show, selling cats at shows is not permitted and the seller should be reported.

Umm don't get it.  If woman is that advanced in pregnancy they would of known this when mating the dog.  All sounds very weird.
My dogs aren't my whole life, but my life wouldn't be whole without them. 05/01/08 11 stone 12 lbs
By lumphy (****) [gb] Date 07.11.09 11:28 GMT
Maybe it was a accidental mating, he says he has the dog to. I dont agree never will but possibly in this situation a new home is the best idea. If a new human baby is about to be born the bitch and pups wont get the care they need.
By BarkingMad16 (***) [gb] Date 07.11.09 18:05 GMT
Doubt wether a rescue would pay for a bitch??  - he obviously wants to make some money. Smells fishy to me.

I wondered whether vet had had a go at him for letting such a young bitch get pregnant and told him she may need vet help at birth (costly) so wants to offload her quick :-(
