Have you tried Google maps?

try streetmap.co.uk

you type in the post code, the map comes up in detail but you can zoom out so that the map takes in larger areas. I have found their maps very useful.

Google and multimap have always been good for me

Google Earth is even better than any map. I've used it to look the surrounding areas when I've been going to new venues for shows.

Karen - try www.aboutmyplace.co.uk.

You can then put in the post code and they will bring up the map - you get aerial and road, and in some cases birds-eye views.

If it absolutely has to be postcode then the prefix is included on Ordnance survey maps, they have an online search.  You can also determine the full postcode area via the Royal mail website.  However, once you've got this info then the best online map for search and print is probably Google.

Hi Kazz,

I have Mappoint on my computer at work - I can highlight an area that is covered by a postcode are (eg. CV) district (cv32) or sector (cv32 5??) - if you PM me with the postcode you want I can easily produce a map with this info and email it to you - it's a 2 mintue job.
