I have been giving my boys these to hopefully help with their fear of fireworks. The dosage for their size 5-10kg is 1 tablet twice daily which they've been having. I the information leaflet their is an area by Sara Whittaker on how to handle your animals behaviour problems, in this it states that 'for pets who have severe reactions' (which is the category that I would put my boys in) to begin giving the recommended daily allowance 3-4 weeks before any activity is due to begin and then increase the recommended amount as required during heavy firework periods. I assume that this means more tablets can be given when fireworks are going off left, right and centre but it doesn't say how many can be given and a maximum daily amount? I have a feeling that tomorrow night is going to be horrendous, with it being Halloween and lots of people probably having parties with firework finales and would like to know just how many tablets will be safe to give. Can anyone help?

I remember once I had something similar and I left them on the window sill. Daft dog gets up on the kitchen surface and scoffs half the bottle. In a panic I dashed off to the vets clutching the  bottle as evidence only to be told there was nothing in it to harm her. She was a right as rain, not even a bit dozy which makes you wonder if they do actually work, seeing as she'd had half the bottle!!

I do think you have to take these things some time in advance to get them into the dogs system. They are not like a valium or similar, that gets to work within an hour. I think they take time but as you can imagine my faith in them has been shot down a little LOL
