I had problems when trying to insure my two and wanted to pick and choose what bits of the insurance cover I wanted.  None of the companies were flexible and I had to take an off the shelf policy.

I suppose you have to consider whether you are likely to be more than £2400 a year on vet bills, legal bills and other people's vet bills for damage your dogs have caused.  Also whether you have the discipline to put the money away rather than spending it.
ali - with a staffy and a rottie not a chow, but very cheeky!

I queried the house insurance option with my insurers and was told that my dogs would be covered on my household insurance, in or out of the house. It probably varies from insurer to insurer. Could you contact someone like Cliverton (http://www.cliverton.co.uk/pages/welcome.php), they may be able to give you some options?
One Golden is never enough! One Dobermann is more than enough!

If you become a DogsTrust member - think it is £20 for the year? - you get 3rd party insurance cover but not sure if that would cover multiple dogs. I have never participated in the scheme but saw their advert for this in their magazine.

Dogs Trust membership does cover you for 3rd party for all of your dogs for £20 membership, up to £1 million. Worth having, just for that.
