Just wondered what most peoples veiws are on this.  Our pups are now 2 weeks so thinking ahead and planning for weaning I was going to get more Welpi in as I had given this to the mum, however a few people have said that powdered goats milk is better to give?
So before I order I would value peoples opinions and experience.
thanks

Goats milk is for kids (Baby goats).

Puppy milk is for puppies.
3 litters of Munsters = 3 Sh.Ch's & 3 RCC winners! Not bad eh?

I give a 'puppy milk' made from Goats milk (Nutrolac), as goats milk is better tolerated than cows milk from which most puppy/kitten formulas are made.

I use Goats milk when weaning, mixing up the puppy food into a puppy porridge with it, usualy at about 4 weeks,  they then continue on when weaned with it as additional treat after at least 1 meal per day.  I always put some into the puppy kits when they leave foo new homes.  I never use poder formula milk at all with pups, if I have to supplement or hand rear I use a mixture made up with Carnation, egg yol and water.

thanks all.  Looked at the nutrolac, think I'll go with that.  Going to order a few tubs then they can have some in their puppy packs too.  :-)

I gave the pups fresh whole goats milk which they absolutley loved! From about 4 weeks, they would have milk after their food as a dessert... can't tell you how much they loved it! All our pups were growing well, not fat, and very healthy.

I'm not sure how much milk they really need after 8 weeks.

Our puppies loved goats milk too, in fact so did Henry, he kept sneaking into the whelping box to steal it from them!! :-D

Sorry LucyDogs!   I'm laughing because I don't know who Henry is, and have visions of a husband on hands and knees in the whelping box!!!   :-)  :-)
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!

Lol at Jean! Henry is my silly old Cavalier, he was 5 years old at the time Ellie had the puppies, and he loved them to bits - we had to keep him out of the box the first few days, but after that he practically brought them up along with Ellie - and they weren't even his puppies. He's also never been interested in toys, but he fell in love with one of the puppy toys and kept stealing it! :-D
