Iv was just looking through the net and found a very sad advert......
£1700
"Very sad sale of Blenheim bitch and her three puppies who are only 5 days old. Lovely natured little girl who is being sold through no fault of her own and of course her pups must go with her, the pups are all blenheim, one boy and two girls. Mum and pups are Dog Lover Registered with accompanying certificates. Including in the sale is whelping box, heat mat and vet bedding. Please contact me by email in the first instance. This is a very hard sale that is upsetting to all concerned especially my children so please no time wasters, thank you. Price given is for mum and the three pups, not individual dogs"Can people sell a bitch and pups this young?
Got to love the slobber!

I am so, so shocked!
But I would have thought selling pups at that age would/could lead to prosecution under the Animal Welfare Act. How irresponsible! Poor, poor bitch.
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!
Cynical ole' me says "Oh yeah?" Family devastated? Children crying their ickle eyes out? So maybe the mug (sorry buyer) who falls for this story won't be able to come to the house to see mum & puppies because children will be too upset - so heartbroken owner will deliver them to a car-park on a motorway? And of course, they are registerred with ....I make no comments about that! Yeah!
I see it as a cynical method of getting rid of a elderly bitch and her (possibly sickly) puppies by a puppy farmer!
It should of course be brought to the notice of the authorities of the area in which the advertiser lives - but of course, its enquiries by email isn't it? So no addresses!
Hmmmm - pull the other leg - its got bells on!
Treat every stressful situation as a dog would. Pee on it and walk away

Oh Margot!!! You cynic you!
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!

So so sad

. I dont really see how there is a solution in this. I cant imagine anyone would take on a bitch and 5 day old pups - its not just joew bloggs public that could fulfill the challenges of rearing a litter. Nobody would pay that price. The family are obviously desperate to get rid hence why they are doing it at this stage.
I dread to think what the outcome could be

My first thought was, as most, shock horror, but I suppose it could be true, we never know the financial straits some get into, or possibly a family crisis/death However I would have thought a good rescue the best bet.
But they will not get any money from there! I think the site needs to remove this ad as soon as possible, the owner needs some professional help from a rescue centre. I suppose the breed rescue may not take because of the reg' type but maybe in an emergency they would help out.
How very very sad for poor Mum and the babies. The family will get over it but Mummy dog may never fully emotionally recover.

I cannot live my life without my dogs by my side
Its not just on that site its on a few with varying prices, and the picture makes your heart go out to her bless her

Poor little bitch! Poor puppies ... see my (cynical) post

I'd lay odds its a puppy farmer/backyard breeder trying to offload an elderly bitch and sickly puppies - if not several

Why don't we have animal welfare laws that protect these poor animals? Why doesn't the RSPCA get involved in these cases, respond to the ad and take possession with a court order? Surely these people are putting the dogs' lives at risk and in my mind I can't see how anyone can argue that this doesn't constitute deliberate cruelty and exploitation.
OK, so the cream carpets were a bad idea
Some years ago I was telephoned by someone who had seen and responded to an ad from someone who was selling a pedigree female cat with very baby kittens, plus the father of the kittens as "a job lot" because she wasn't making any money from breeding them. The boy (stud) was mine and had been sold as a pet only to a "family". Nothing changes. People just see breeding animals as a way to a quick bit of extra un-taxed cash.

Dog Lover's Club registered ...
I think that says it all.
I can't actually imagine what kind of genuine situation would bring about the need to advertise a mum and newborn pups for sale on the internet tbh.
I guess the sudden diagnosis of a terminal illness could render someone no longer able to cope but surely there would have been a better way to deal with this situation - family or friends to take them on perhaps or failing that - cavalier rescue ? I am not saying that I believe that something like that is behind this sale but I guess you do have to keep an open mind.
Very sad indeed. I am very concerned as to what type of people this advert will attract - and will the "breeder" just give them up to the first person to offer the money ?

Is this advert still on the internet does anyone know ? I have tried to find it but can't.
I know the sites it was/is on can't be named but do any of them begin with an "E" or a "P" - any small clues would be appreciated.
Sadly this sort of thing is not uncommon....

a similar one found recently (and the ad showed a photo of the tie) ..... many people see dogs as commodities...
Due to a very unexpected change in our circumstances we have a chocolate Labrador in pup for sale.
She is 12 months old and has had 4 ties with our very proven white Poodle.
Both have a temperament which is perfect and neither dog can be faulted at all. Our poodle is also here to be seen.
Both have a 5 generation pedigree both with champions in it but our poodle has 36 imported champions in it and he has won many shows.
Both dogs are fully vaccinated, flea treated and wormed to date.
She is a very loving dog with no faults.
She has never been bred from before.
I have pictures of the ties between them for your peace of mind, and if for any reason she was not pregnant we would happily give you a free stud next season.
This was a planned mating but I found out this morning that I have been offered a massive promotion so I wont have time for puppies and we have decided to give up breeding.
We are fully council licenced to breed dogs and our premises are environmental health and vet inspected regularly.
She is very well behaved and doesn't chew and is fully housetrained although she is living out at present as I wanted to get her used to a kennel to have her puppies.
I am asking £800 for her to ensure she goes somewhere where she will be properly looked after and not just some puppy farm. All of our Poodles's Labradoodle puppies have sold for £600 minimum due to his fantastic pedigree so I have no doubt you will make your money back on her. Also she was from a litter of 13 so should produce a large litter.
Please no timewasters as this is a sad sale, she is not just a brood bitch but a much loved family pet and my children will be gutted when they learn she has to go.
Please feel free to call for more information. Please call anytime upto 1am or from 5am. Thanks

Nice.

what an awful advert. obviously promotion means more than the family dog.
Surely if your job really was that important then you would get the pregnancy terminated -- you wouldnt sell the bitch on. Makes my heart break it really does.
Well they offer a free return mating if it turns out the bitch hasn't taken
What a horrible advert-that poor bitch. How can the place be council licensed and be breeding from a 12 month old bitch? Its a bit rich that he doesn't want her to go to a puppy farm when it sounds like she's in one at the moment.
Surely there must be some law against this? its like child trafficing or something it just seems so so so wrong.

I'm utterly gobsmacked
It is a shame that no-one is around to make a TV programme about it .
Disgusting.
