Hi, can anyone help me, i have a bitch that i think is pregnant and will be having her scanned next week, but i have heard alot of people talking about saliva test, for ovulation and pregnancy, does anyone have any experience with these test? do they really work or is a scan the best way to go?

I've only used the saliva test on my girls for ovulation and so far it has been 100%.  There's a little device called a MateTel , you get a sample of your girls saliva on the lens wait for it to dry, fertile period= strong ferning ( or icicle) patterns cover the microscope
ovulation is about to occur . mate within 24 hours repeat mating 48hrs after 1st mating

Apparently it can also be used to tell if a bitch is pregnant, but I've not used it for that so can't say if it works or not.

i dont use any other than scan and my gut feeling lol , ive not been wrong yet xx
good luck with scan next week ,and it does help if your scaner is good at what they do ,some just get it wrong alot xx

Yep, I scan my girls too, but I'm lucky enough to have my own scanner

yes u lucky lady do you scan just the once ? or do you do it every week till they have them ? ...cus i know i would lol
