Anyone know of any good dog modelling agencies...? We are based in the South East (UK). The dog is a 6 month old border collie pup. Thanks

I didn't even know there was such a thing and would question why anyone thinks this is a good thing to do with their dog...especially at that age. It's not as though he needs to save up for going to college. Sorry--perhaps others will take a more tolerant view and give you a useful answer.
OK, so the cream carpets were a bad idea

There are agencies but for highly trained dogs that appear in films, I'm not sure about modeling, I do know that some people are asked at shows sometimes.

mainly the tv. researchers go via breed clubs for "acting" type stuff....if its basic requirements. There are highly professional animal trainers who have a host of breeds available to them, or in their ownership for similar jobs. Most "photographic" models if thats what you want to call them, are sourced direct by the photographer, certainly thats what I and the other professional photographers I know, do. I have had a few "dubious" agencies brought to my attention over the years where owners pay an annual fee to keep their dogs on the books. Nuff said!!!

I was asked at a show for my dogs to be used in Pride And Prejudice. Spent two days filming and had a fantastic time.

My Border terriers were used in a small programme based at Glamis Castle, they loved it, spent the day chasing rabbits and getting paid for it!!
It was through a friend of a friend that they got the part.
There is one i know of called PetLondon Models. You par a fee and send picks of your pet and they put up a profile and people who are looking for pet models can search there site and see it. They use to have a rabbit that was on cards and that.
http://www.petlondonmodels.com/Allthough she may be a bit young for it though. It all depends on if she likes her picture taken and strangers.

One of mine was a model in a Sunday mag many years ago. The dog agency contacted me though I was not on their books or anything. Think the model agency wanted a specific thing i.e. the models were from all over the world and they wanted to dogs that represented the same country.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No

OMG, bit bad that they can't even get their breeds right.

There's even 3 Spanish on the site, one's really nice, not sure about one of the others though, although it could be bad grooming lOL!
