Hello everyone, I used to post frequently on Champdogs a few years ago, but life took over, though I thought this an appropriate place to remember Flossie Dog our nealry 9 yr old Westie.  She would have been 9 today but we sadly had to have her put to sleep on Friday 13th November.  The worst thing I have ever had to do as many of you will relate to.  She was diagnosed with a brain tumour 3 years ago and has battled on, but her mobility had got so bad over the last few weeks, she was crawling along the floor most of the time and when she could stand she would  wobble and we could see her thinking about her next move, she was however mentally alert and would ask to go out and ask for food, water and attention.  She had lost the sight in one eye and the vet confirmed it was going in the other.  We brought her home and buried her in the garden, wrapped in her pink blanket, teddy between her paws, her chew toy and my OH put in some chew sticks as well, just in case he said!  Doodles dog (westie) and Smirnoff Dog (BC) are very subdued and  the house is very quiet.  Rest in Peace brave Flossie, we love and miss you xxxx

So sorry to hear this. I had to have my boy pts a month ago just a week before his 11th birthday. It was indeed the hardest thing I have ever had to do and I still think of him everyday. Flossie Dog was clearly adored by all in your household and in time you will realise that you did the best for her.
RIP Flossie Dog
