I know it's not a particularly pleasant topic!
My 14 year old boy is on his 3rd sheath infection in six months (it does have another name but I can't for the life of me recall it). Antibiotics have cleared it up but I am reluctant to keep going down this course.
We don't know why he has suddenly become prone to this. He is in kidney failure but the vet, apart from the slight possibility of leaking urine and causing bacterial growth in his sheath, doesn't think it is related. He doesn't seem to suffer from any incontinence however.
Has anybody experienced this with their dog and found a preventative way of managing this?
