Whilst spending my O.H money at the L.K.A on Sunday I came across a refreshing change from the normal food suppliers.A company dedicated to BARF.It has only been running since October, but its founder seemed a very passionate guy who developed the company when his own pet dog developed food intolerences. It seems alittle expensive but delivery is free.
Also they are developing a puppy pack scheme for BARF feeders to give to new owners.

I was going to post a link about this and then didn't.
They gave us a free bone which my boys loved when i got it home - At LKA.

I was trying to work out how expensive this would be compared to making up your own.
£2 for 1kg of food, so bone and meat already mixed up and sorted out with the right split.

I was thinking that for my boys as you are supposed to feed around about 2% of their body weight i would be feeding 1kg a day per dog, which does work quite expensive, but might look to get some for convenience to put in the freezer. Free delivery is also very good too..

CM really didn't read your post all the way through and just seen i have said the same thing..

I tried it after meeting them at SWKA, thinking that it would be brilliant. To be honest, I havent seen any difference feeding that from my own preparation so cant really justify the price. If they lowered prices then I would definately use it for convienience. The neck bones contain windpipe sized loose vertabrae so wont be feeding them again. Also not suitable for pregnant bitches due to the high vitamin A content. If you were just feeding one dog it might be worth it. It is presented well but it seemed bulked out with blood and contains alot of apple pips.

Nice to see your new girl did well at LKA. See you at the Xmas match thursday?

Hi Carol,I think for the serious barfer you would be far better of doing your own thing with a friendly butcher and getting cheap knock down fruit and veggies from the supermarket. But again if you have only one or two dogs, are new and a bit scared of the whole barf thing or worried about getting the balance right,or going away for a few days, then this could be a good starting point.
Really pleased with kezzie, she moved like a dream, but rolled over and expected the judge to tickle her belly.LOL.But she was the highest placed CED so we were pleased.
Will be there on Thursday,I would like to bring Oggie but can't manage both nightmares.LOL.

Just took a look at it would work out very expensive for me to do but the idea is great, if I ever won the lottery and money was no object then maybe...
