I have just read the January edition of Dogs Today and  on pages
11 - 13 there is a Jemima Harrison article knocking breed clubs and in particular the stands at Discover Dogs where she says that she was told by a breed representative in a breed which has a documented cancer problem of 50% that "it was much less than 10%)
Furthermore, she then goes on about the club web sites and says:
"There are some notable exceptions. The BMDCGB is a brilliant example of what can be done when there's a real commitment to providing good health information. There is warts-and-all acknowledgement that the breed suffers from cancer and clear signs that the breed club is proactive on health matters (in this instance, a current health survey)"

Wow! All I can say is for once Jemima you have noticed that some clubs try hard.
Thanks,
Aileen

Shame she didn't make a program about that!

Excellent, she could praise a few more clubs as i'm sure that there are many others doing the same thing as our GB club..

Aileen can i ask about the health surveys, i signed up last year and heard nothing more. Have they/are they due to send out the forms soon, or have i somehow been missed off the posting list? If i have been missed i'll get in touch with SG. Just don't want to start bothering him if its on its way.
