i have an 8 month old westie who has come into season last week - having never had a dog from puppy before im looking for advice. i know how long it lasts and some ways she may act licking more, flirting, maybe abdo pain etc...
my problem is she has been off her food since sunday evening, very low wont go for a walk, sleeping alot and being very affectionate. is this normal? thing is she has westie jaw too so is on medication for that so i cant tell if its pain related. shes normally a mental case that only sleeps when we do constantly playing and mad for walks.
any ideas?
thanks

Many bitches go off their food, and being quiet and extra affectionate is normal too.

Remember walks on lead only where dog shave no business being allowed off lead.

No owner can be expected to control their male if your were to walk your bitch in a dog off lead area,a s they wouldn't know, and the temptation would be just to much to trust any male dogs obedience.

Also on average a season last 21 days, but bitches can be fertile and conceive after this time, so ti is best to be vigilant for another week.
