As others have said, it's very important that she has puppy food - although a few swapped bits of kibble wouldn't harm either of them.
When my youngest was a pup I actually found it easier to move my
adult to the grown up version of the puppy food. He needed a change anyway and, as it smelt the same as the pups food I didn't get any problems after that. Pups are quite curious about new things and it seems they go through a stage where everything gets explored mouth first!
I like to feed mine in the same room but used to watch them eat. I also used (still do, actually) the open crate door to provide a barrier between them. Finally I don't allow bowl swapping until both have finished, when they like to check if anything - any tiny crumb - got left behind
