Decided against it after seeing the entry fees!
Marianne. Dogs are not our whole lives, there are cats too!

Thats a whole lot of money to get together to do that. Entry fees seem to be average for a European Ch show from what i've been told..
For me i would now need to rush for the pet passport, if i'm lucky. Then it would be to sort out getting there, which would mean driving and ferry rides etc.. So answer would be probably no for exhibiting, but will check out airfares as i may be interested in being a spectator.

Would love to go over to watch, but cant afford to with going to SA, and Ireland this year.

Me too!  I wonder if there's cheap fares from Edinburgh for a day trip?
3 litters of Munsters = 3 Sh.Ch's & 3 RCC winners! Not bad eh?

It was a fair it less when it was in Sweden -but yes, it's amazingly expensive elsewhere. eek

You'd be too late -if you rabies vaccinated today, took blood in 3 weeks, the passport would not be ready until 1st of August when the show is long over.

If you find any Christine, give me a shout, I would like to see the Danes though, what day is the gundog day??

Hopefully, just sorting out accomodation and getting there! Passport and rabies vacc all done so just hope all goes well! Our juge is judging at Scottish Breeds in March so if i get chucked i might be changing my mind!!!! ;-)x

No idea, I didn't get that far.   I was looking to see who the judge was & then went 'who'?

Edited:  Group 7 (Pointing dogs) are on Saturday with groups 5 & 9.

ouch! I had not even looked at entry fees yet...

My "little girl" being a junior will be shown and then come home to UK with us......
With those entry fees, the "big girl" who would have gone in open and I was thinking of showing will stay in UK or come as a tourist only!(if she is not on maternity leave)

The entry fees are hideous!
In addition you have accomodation to think of,
which I've heard isn't too cheap either around that area.

I have 4 hours drive to get there, but I'm not entering.
Will enter the Danish Specialty the day after, and the Swedish Specialty the
day after that.
Much better judges for my girls ;-)

Chrstine, there are only flights to Billund from Edinburgh, the venue is about 1 hour by car away.

I don't think our groups are on the same day though are they?     Wonder if it's 'do-able' in a day but how to get to the venue from the airport?
