Can somebody tell me the answer to this question . Can a male dog sense a female is coming in heat again ? My male is constantly trying to lick my female every chance he gets he is also constantly testing her urine when out. She is not due to come in heat for a while or is he trying to stimulate her to come in heat ? (wishful thinking on his part ) thanks.

It may be that she is coming into season earlier than you thought, she may be in the first stages, but if she isn't male dogs are often attracted and act just as excited if the bitch has some sort of infection they lick and sniff and quiver just the same. So it may be worth just popping her down to the vet for a check over if you tell them what has been happening. ;-)

Very definately yes! My male is doing it now. I have a bitch that is maybe 2/3 weeks off her season and he is getting very interested and bothering her. They also get confused by the smell of infections but the answer to your question is a definate yes.

My males know about 3 weeks beforehand when they are coming in.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No

Yes, my boys always know about 3 to 4 weeks before the girls come in.
