got hips and elbows done today ,vets said they will be sent tomorrow !! what am i like lol

I know just how you feel, I am always so impatient!  I had hip and elbows x rayed at end of November.  BVA informed me that they were sitting weekly so turnaround was fortnightly.  True enough, mine were back at the vets 2 weeks later!  Best timescale ever (and great scores too)!  Good luck for yours, hope they are as quick!

We are now on our third week of waiting so I hope they are sitting and getting ours scored soon!!!
Especially as we have no idea what score will come back due to my girl being little special...

A pup I bred was x-rayed on 6th Jan and vet phoned owner with results on 18th Jan - so back within 12 days - brilliant!

A bitch who is hoping to visit my boy was x-rayed on the 8th - no news from her as yet.

My dog was x rayed on the 29th Dec and I got his results yesterday! I thought it would take longer with all the snow (holding up the post) and holidays etc.

We had one of our bitches xrayed on 23 Dec and we're still waiting

Likewise I'm waiting for some that were sent off last week. I've been checking the health tests on the kc website in case they appear there first.

We had one of our girls x-rayed on the 15th Dec and i have still not received anything.

Good luck guys with your scores, we send our plates to Germany for the A stamp they take months to come back, longest was 8 months? you guys would be climbing the walls ha ha!

Look on the kc website under online servies then health tests. The reults sometimes appear on there first before you receive them back.

im looking there now but i know its way to soon for mine to be there lol x

They sat on the 5th Jan for my set , accouring to the BVA they sit weekly.

This is the first dog I have got scored in UK.
Do they send everything to the vet(plates, paperwork)?
Or do you actually get them yourself or does BVA keep the plates?
Mine were xrayed on the 30th December and we are still waiting for the results... hopefully they come soon.
Is it the norm that the vet calls with the results or will they come in the post?
So I know what I need to keep checking, my phone or the door

When i used to get mine done at the vets i only ever got the paperwork , where i have it done now , i receive all the x-rays and the paperwork, i think it just depends where you have it done.

That is interesting so we might actually get the xrays back! That would be good as I was going to take my camera so I can take a picture of them but forgot the camera at home.
We were going to show the picture to Finnish vet who is very experienced and gets it 99% right on what the Finnish KC will rate the hips as.
We thought it would have been interesting to see how BVA scores them and what that would be in Finnish system.
In Finland KC (who looks after the scoring) keeps the plates as reference but you are allowed to borrow them if you wish.

I think you will only get xrays back if you have gone to the likes of Marilyn.  Apparently the vets 'have' to keep them due to the dust that comes off them as they age which may be dangerous to health.

I got my dogs results in the post yesterday but not the x rays, I presume the vets kept them.

Our vet gives you the plates at the time of x-ray, he takes 2 copies, he sends the x rays etc to the BVA i think? its so long since we did BVA i have forgotten? we do the German system A Stamp.

The vet did not dare to say how she will be scored due to her pelvis being asymmetrical(broke a year ago) so I think we are pretty happy with this!

Don't they say when there is a difference like this between the hips, its normally to do with an accident rather than any HD type thing.. You know what i mean.. I'd be pleased with those scores too!!

Better think about getting my boy booked in soon, he turns 1yr next month, time flies..

As I have SCandinavian and US dogs in my pedigrees I use it all the time.

They usually do. 

None of the Vets I have used has ever let me have the x-rays when I have asked for them. 

I feel I paid for them and they a re no use to them, why should I not have them once they are back.

My vet lets me have the x-rays as he takes three at the time so gives one to me.

Mine came back today aswell   2:2, not bad for a 4 year old large breed gun dog I dont think! She is lower than her litter sisters who were scored at 14 months old lol

How long does it take for the results to appear on Kennel club site? I was expecting to see mine on there by now and they're not.

Results received back at vet on 18th Jan on website yesterday.

Hmmm I'll keep checking, the vet phoned with our results on the 19th.

with my hip score they was on the kc website the day they were scored was really surprised how fast it was. x

Mine were on the KC website the next day!

hips&elbows were scored on the 12th - elbows there, hips not yet.
I had the eyes done in December, those are not there yet either.

The results came back within 10 days but not published on the KC website I rang after 4 weeks and asked, they appeared the next day.

They appear very slow to put eye results on - one of my girls still isn't on there from March last year!

wish everyone who is waiting good scores but wanted to add that i saw marilyn a few years back now and i got my x rays. was really happy with my scores,and the fact that i could see what they saw.
