Hi , any horsey folk here,just wanted to know if you feed haylage to your horse and what do you do with the plastic wrapping that it comes in,  we keep putting it in bin bags but dont know what to do with it,  thanks

take it to local skip site thingy thats what we do im afraid.... any ideas would be great tho

I rang the IFA and they told me where the collections are maybe there is something similar in UK?

I wonder if it may be recyclable locally?  Might it be useful to gardners as a replacement for the weed surpressing stuff, or something similar?

Put it on Freecycle..someone will make use if it.

You'd be amazed what is on and gets taken on Freecycle!

around here i call it free scrounger and it makes me fumne every day when i see people asking for lap tops, play stations etc......"get a job and buy your own" is my usual recomendation (and prob why I was thrown off!) LOL

That has made me giggle put I must admit I feel likewise.   The worst ones are those who offer animals or want animals  :-(

I think anyone recommending freecycle has never seen haylage wrappers!!!
We take ours to the tip, too much to go in the bin as we use a bale every 3-4 days at the moment.

lol pippa.....the ones off the "bought" haylage blocks arent so bad but certainly that was what i was getting at in my earlier post....ours are on heston size bales and round bales and huge and stinky!

Freecycle saves stuff gong into landfill Im all for it....................Buying a laptop doesnt stop one going into landfill.
