Hi , I'm trying to plan my journey to Crufts as I've never been before , trying to decide if to go by train or car . Does anyone know what the car parking is like for non exhibitors , eg is there loads of parks , do you have to be there really early , how much is the parking for the full day etc.
Any of these answers will be much appreciated
Thankyou

Plenty of parking for non exhibitors, it is quite a walk from the car park to the halls but they do put on free shuttle buses, parking is £8 for the day, traffic is usually a nightmare in and out of NEC.

If going by car yes go fairly early if going by train the station is at the NEC.

There is no shortage of car parking, and there are shuttle buses from the car parks to the NEC itself. Parking charges are about £7 (NCP I believe, so charges are out of the KC's control). It's probably best to get there quite early because the queues to get to the NEC can be back onto the motorway round about 10am-ish.

The train is really easy - the station is at the NEC itself and you don't have to go out of doors at all (unless you're an exhibitor - dogs aren't allowed in the walkway to the exhibition centre).

if you can get a train direct I would do that we have travelled by train when not showing ..you dont have to leave the NEC the station is inside.
I hate that walk into the show  from the car park and the queueing up to leave the CP depending on what time you leave can be a nightmare.

I've been once without a dog and my friend drove us there, we got there for about 9am and there were long queues to get into the carpark. It did cost us £8 for the whole day and we were lucky not to be parked too far away from the NEC itself.
I went home via train and like others have said the station is at the NEC itself and i found this to be very easy and i probably would choose this option again if i wasn't showing and not planning on buying anything. If you are planning on going shopping i would personally take a car to put all your treasures in.

We walked for miles last year.. And I thought it was expensive.

We went by train one year and it was really easy to get from train into show although still a bit of a hike... however cost wise, although £8 for the car parking is steep, with 3 of us going it's probably still cheaper to use the petrol and go by car.  We do live within an hour of the show though.

Last year we were really lucky as we acquired a spare trade stand parking pass and parked REALLY close and for free - bliss!
