hi all can someone tell me at what stage u can feel and see pups movin

also how long does the sperm sit inside the female before eggs get fertilised

can female hold onto the sperm till eggs r ripe enough 2 fertilise

sperm can be viable for 5 days.
movement around week 8

thanks for ur help

i just wondered as my bitch is 64days by 1st matin and have felt movement since 56days but when took her for a scan at 4 1/2wks by 1st mating vets said she was only 3 1/2 wks

so i was wondering how long i should leave her before goin back 2 vets if no sign of pups by say tues

did you have progesterone tests before mating

no i didnt do tests

i phoned stud dog owner and we counted from 1st day of season and mated her on days 11 and 13

i assume that a day was missed before a second mating, cant read previous posts whilst writing this one, which would mean day 62 today. if she took on first mating then tues will 66 days. if second mating it'll be 64. personally i think id ring vets, IMO, a phone call costs nothing and will put your mind at rest

hi yes a day was missed before 2nd mating

so frm 1st matin she day 64 and from 2nd day 62

pups r still movin and very active shes not eaten last 2 days includin 2day and has had some discharge shes not in any discomfort either by lookin at her

i will give vets a ring tomoz then i think just 2 see what they say

Sounds that all is fine, although, yes, it won't hurt to get her checked out.  I find that the pups get less active once things get going.
The hurrier I go - the behinder I get!
