My DDB was bitten by a greyhound last year and it left him with a scar on the side of his face, about a inch and a half long. I was thinking of showing him in the future but I didn't know if this imperfection would go against him? cheers!

I show my DDB so I have a good look around at the others. There was a bitch at my last show who won her group with quite a large rounded scar on her muzzle ( looked like she'd been bitten by another dog) and won something at Manchester also , so I guess it won't matter.

The scar is not a conformation fault, so it should not be taken into account when judging.  It may detract from the overall look of the dog, but should not affect placings.

My Hannah qualified (2nd MPB) just after being attacked at SKC and still went into ring with babywipes to keep her nose clean.  And Ollie gained his stud book No. at Darlington with an 8inch scar down his leg from multiple cancer surgeries.

If you dont enter, you won't know.. so try a few, and have fun
