Just checking on where  to find pups - so far I am checking ob.uk, ag.net/eye. Are there any more sites I could look at for a good working pup?

My local farmer has two pregnant working border collies. All his dogs are good workers. We are in Argyll though. It may be too far from you.

I guess I am also looking for a family or home rearerd pup - having had two from farms and one from a home my family would prefer one who is already on the well socialised road.

There are so many adds and such a huge price difference!

I know what you mean. I just thought it was a working dog you wanted from your post title. Our farm dogs are all outsiders. Probably a few generations away from being pets. All the best with your search.

i know of a Obedience/WT Line with Two Dogs available (litter of 10) week old, so not advertised yet. PM me for more details

Thanks mike - yes ideally I think the farm type are really good - but the rest of my family aren't into high drive dogs - I found they the one brought up un a home is still high drive but was faster/easier to adapt to fitting into a  family home. I feel like cheating!
