I've heard of in whelp bitches vomiting and was wondering if, at their peak of readiness to breed, in-season bitches have a tendency to do this. 
I'm not totally sure, but think Heidi did this during her last season and had been sick for a couple of days just recently - around day 12 after I first noticed her bleeding.  She tends to bleed for at least 3 weeks by the way.  Thanks for any info - I am still learning about seasons - though she will definitely be neutered after 3 months this time I still like to learn.

Can't say I have ever put those two things together, what I have found is that they often can't hold onto their wee so well, and may have the odd wee accident when in season.

I have an inseason bitch vomiting a little at the moment, she's only on day 4 - 5 only does it for a day or 2 and doesn't put her off her meals, I just split them over the day so she's not taking in so much in one sitting.  This is the only bitch I've had do this but as she does it every season we just accept its the way she is.

one of my bitches had violent diarhea at the stat of her seans for the first two seasons.  I suppose they are like us and get sore tums etc.

one of my girls sometimes tends to have a sicky bile when in season early on , she is in season at the moment and once again was a little sick during the night. I just give her a biscuit before bed. I think its tummy ache that brings it on as it is usually at the beginning of the season , also when she is cleaning herself continually.

Our Boston bitch get a bit of a stomach upset and vomits bile when she is in season my vet has said that due to the rise in hormones  can make them like this.

Thanks for your replies - have tried the small biscuit and given same amount of food over smaller meals - she puts weight on by looking at food.  She did have trouble with wee-ing accidents for her first few seasons but the last 2 [at least] she has been sick and not had wee accidents.  Maybe I should be cleaning her more too - all that self-cleaning uuuggh!

I would let her clean herself just give her face a wash  more chance of infection if you start interferring in her nether regions , I would only clean if she is a bitch who doesnt clean herself, then give her a nice bath when her season is over.

Our Dane Bitch (now sadly passed age 12) would vomit when in season, did so for two consecutive seasons and would get quite distressed.  We Started giving her evening primrose just before her third season was due and it came and went without any vomiting third time round.... may be worth a try ????

Well - after saying Heidi's not wee'd inside - she's proved me wrong - again.  She's very much 'ready' to mate for the last couple of days and has had 'accidents' in the house [embarassed smiley]  She's also being a proper 'tart' - and flirting like mad with our older neutered bitch!
She's not been sick since though.

I think that when they're ready for mating, they can scent wee to let any males know.  Little trollops!
