hello

did anyone happen to see the above program this afternoon? regarding the english bull terrier in its back garden that had caught a stray cat, and particularly the inspecter who wouldnt go near the dog as it was "fired up" i think thats how he put it.  id love to see the training they get

I didn't see it, however it seems common sense to me to not approach a strange dog on it's own territory when it's excited :-) I know when hounds see a rabbit or hare when they are on lead they can get so wound up they will snap at each other, and I certainly wouldn't try to take something they'd caught off a strange dog.

That's been on loads of times and he did actually go in the garden eventually and said what a lovely friendly dog it seemed and that it was just doing natural instinct with an animal invading it's territory.
If I wanted a Poodle, OES, TT or IWS I would have bought one. SWD's shd. be natural and rustic. No
